Prenatal Consultations
I provide three private prenatal consultations that are tailor-made to the needs and concerns you may have. These consultations apply holistic principles to help inform and prepare you for the realities of pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood. Topics for discussion include the natural physiology of pregnancy, labor and childbirth, labor pain and pain management, hospital interventions and their alternatives, newborn care and breastfeeding. The sessions and on call support encourage parental autonomy and focus on how to promote dialogue and ask questions that will help you to make informed decisions about perinatal care.
Labor and Childbirth Support
Once labor begins, you can expect encouragement, reassurance, and comfort measures such as massage, positioning, and other relaxation techniques for managing your labor until your baby is born and you are resting comfortably. In addition, I help to explain or clarify proposed interventions if they arise and what their alternatives could be.
Postpartum Visits
I will provide postpartum visits to your home within two weeks of the birth. During these visits we can discuss any breastfeeding, or postpartum concerns – or to just lend a hand. This can also be an opportunity to talk about some of the resources in the community available to new parents.

Biography
Since graduating from the Montreal Perinatal Associates in 2004, I have been working in Montreal as a birth doula both privately and for the following affiliated organizations: Alternative-Naissance, Montreal Birth Companions, and Maison Bleue. I also work as a midwife’s assistant at one of Montreal ‘s birth houses.
I continue to supplement my training by attending various workshops and seminars related to perinatal care.
In addition, I hold a BFA in photography from Concordia University and a BA in English from Mcgill. Informed by my work as a doula, my artistic practice focuses on maternal identity. For more information about my photography services, please contact me directly.
